Over Woosh

Woosh delivers diapers and collects them after use. But don't just call us a diaper service. We are much more than that! We are a team of determined world improvers with a mission. A mission to turn the diaper world upside down and reinvent the entire chain with circularity as the ultimate goal.

And we are quite successful! Since 2021, we have grown from a local initiative to a national and independent diaper service for daycare centers and childminders with more than 2,000 affiliated customers and 38,000+ happy babies. Not bad for the new kid on the block, right?

A few years back in time. We, three young fathers, see with our own eyes how much diaper waste ends up in the residual waste every day. We decide to investigate, because why is there no diaper recycling in Belgium yet?

We find the answer in this paradox: diapers are not recycled because there is no separate waste collection, and diapers are not collected separately because there are no facilities to recycle them. A great example of chicken and egg!

With our expertise as engineers, we start a research project together with Ontex, one of the largest diaper manufacturers in the world. A project that after a while results in the establishment of Woosh.

It turned out that a smart diaper service for childcare centers works both for the centers and for our mission: delivering diapers takes care of their logistical worries, while collecting used diapers makes it possible to set up a separate waste stream. A win-win!

Of course, we are still far from where we want to be. The road ahead is winding and long. But our intentions are as clear as day, and our ambitions are great. In all transparency, we would like to take you along on the journey. Because making mistakes is part of it. Fortunately, we are not concerned with perfection, but with continuous progress.
