Giving birth with less stress starts with these 5 tips!

Bevallen met minder stress begint met deze 5 tips!

Around week 36, things start to get exciting. The baby essentials checklist is half done, the to-do list is growing instead of shrinking, and all the while, you mostly want to enjoy these last peaceful weeks.

Good preparation for your delivery often comes down to a few small, practical choices you can make now. From your hospital bag to your diaper supply: with these 5 tips, you'll be ready for what's to come, without having to figure everything out yourself!

1. Pack your hospital bag in time

It could happen from week 37 onwards, so it's smart to have your bag packed by then. Think about your ID card and insurance card, comfortable clothes and slippers, toiletries, energy-boosting snacks (like nuts), a charged phone with some calm playlists, and the first cute outfits for your little one!

2. Sort out your administration while you still can

Birth registration, health insurance, maternity benefits, parental leave: never the most fun paperwork, but it's something you can tick off now with a clear head. Find out what you need to submit where and by when, so you don't have to think about it during the first few weeks with a newborn baby.

3. Order enough diapers in the correct size in advance

A newborn baby grows incredibly fast, so start small: a few packs in size 1 AND size 2 to discover what fits and works. Woosh is now the diaper brand you'll find in many Belgian childcare facilities, and therefore also the perfect diaper to use from birth.

Want to return used diapers afterwards? You can do so via several Woosh give-back points in Belgium or simply have them picked up at home (with your next delivery), it couldn't be simpler!

4. Let Foodprepper fill your fridge

The first few days after giving birth are all about recovering, feeding, and getting used to each other, and cooking is usually waaaaay down the list. The Maternity Meal Box from Foodprepper takes that worry off your hands: fresh meals for every moment of the day, a magazine full of tips for the postnatal period, and a vegetarian option if you prefer.

5. Deliberately schedule some moments of rest

Between all the to-dos, it's easy to forget yourself. Schedule a few fixed moments of rest in your week now: a walk, a bath, or even just doing nothing on the couch! You'll get used to actually taking those moments faster than you think once the baby arrives.

There you go, that's already taken care of

Good preparation often lies in the small things: a bag by the door, a fridge that fills itself a bit, some paperwork already completed, and diapers already on their way.

Check out the Woosh range in size 1 and size 2, and start your postnatal period with just a little less on your plate!
