What's more, we offer free collection with every order of new diapers, so you can return your used diapers without any extra effort.
Quality
Woosh diapers are suitable for all babies. They are dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic, free from elemental chlorine, and contain no perfume, no lotion and no harmful substances.
The diapers are available from size 1 (2 to 5 kg) to size 6 (13 to 18 kg). The diaper pants are available from size P4 (9 to 15 kg) to size P6 (15+ kg).
No, our collection and recycling service is exclusively intended for baby diapers. Unfortunately, we are not yet able to process adult diapers. These products have a more complex composition, which makes them unsuitable for our current recycling system.
Yes, Woosh diapers are hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested, specially designed for sensitive skin and are allergy friendly.
Woosh diapers are dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic and meet the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which means they are safe and free from harmful chemicals.
Woosh diapers are Oeko-tex Standard 100 certified and contain no harmful or toxic chemicals.
Our diapers are certified under OEKO-TEX Standard 100, a global safety and quality standard which consists of a list of over 1,000 chemicals harmonised from the REACH directive Annex XIV and XVII, US CPSIA (lead), EU POPs regulation and ECHA-SVHC among other candidate lists. This certification standard covers categories including formaldehydes, APEOs, PFCs, heavy metals, phthalates, PAHs, arylamines, organotin compounds, and carcinogenic colorants among others. In line with industry standards, dioxins, furans, and PCB (polychlorinated biphenyls) are included in the restricted substance list. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 further includes numerous harmful chemicals and substance classes that are relevant to the environment even if they are not yet regulated legally, including for example Alkylphenols (APs), Alkylphenol Ethoxylates (APEOs), UV Stabilisers, Bisphenol Analogues (BPAF, Vulkanox), Certain PAHs, etc. Standard 100 tends to pre-empt regulation by 5-10 years, adding substances once scientific evidence is sufficient even if regulators haven't acted yet. You can find further information regarding OEKO-TEX Standard 100 here https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/our-standards/oeko-tex-standard-100/.
Woosh takes further precautions to reduce the risk of any unwanted or harmful substances by choosing to use elemental chlorine free (ECF) fluff and by not adding any perfumes or lotions to our diapers.
We use a standard hygiene-grade polypropylene non-woven for the top sheet (skin contacting inner surface) of our diaper. This has been tested in dermatological clinical settings with users of different sensitive skin types and has been proven not to cause any irritation or adverse reaction during testing - to a level whereby the product is deemed hypoallergenic.
Woosh diapers can last up to 8 hours in the smallest sizes and up to 12 hours for larger sizes, which is ideal for day and night.
Yes, Woosh diapers are designed to keep your baby's skin dry, day and night, even up to 12 hours thanks to the patented SeconDry technology.

Since the spring of 2025, our recycling site 'Lucy' has been open in Bruges. A major milestone in realizing our mission!

Eco and recycling
A give-back diaper is an innovative diaper that you return to the producer after use for ecological processing. Woosh has developed the first of these types of diapers, which are recycled via a unique recycling process. With this, Woosh offers a sustainable solution to the problem of diaper waste.
An eco-friendly diaper is designed and produced with sustainability in every step of its life cycle: from the choice of materials and the production process to the way the diaper is transported, used and ultimately processed after use. This means that the environmental impact is taken into account at every stage.
The Woosh diaper is designed to be as sustainable as possible. The cellulose in the diapers comes from FSC®-certified forests, and ECF-certified cellulose (Elemental Chlorine Free) is used, which is more environmentally friendly than common alternatives. The waterproof layer in the diaper is also made from 100% recycled materials, which reduces CO₂ emissions. The diapers are made with green energy and do not contain perfume or lotion. In addition, the diapers are packaged in recycled and recyclable materials. Each new generation of Woosh diapers contains more and more circular materials.
Unlike disposable diapers, which are incinerated with residual waste after use, the Woosh give-back diaper is recycled. This allows the materials to be reused instead of ending up as waste.
Instead of reusing or composting the diapers, like some other sustainable alternatives, Woosh diapers are recycled. This means that high-quality materials from the diapers are reused to create new products, making it a unique solution within the diaper industry.
You can use door-to-door service when ordering through our webshop. This way, when your new Woosh diapers are delivered, you can return your used Woosh diapers for recycling.
In addition, we already have a number of give-back points. Meanwhile, we continue to work hard behind the scenes to open up extra points.
Woosh diapers are recyclable, but not compostable. Instead of composting, Woosh focuses on high-quality recycling to reuse valuable materials and thus reduce the mountain of waste.
At the moment, Woosh can already recycle various materials from the diaper. This mainly includes the plastic films. In the meantime, Woosh is also developing solutions to process the organic components ecologically, so that all materials can be recovered or valorized again in the future.
In the recycling process, the different materials of the diaper, such as plastics and organic material, are efficiently separated. The plastics are recycled and converted into new raw materials. For the organic materials, Woosh is continuously researching how they can be processed optimally; currently, they are incinerated with energy recovery.
Used Woosh diapers are collected and taken to the recycling and R&D center in Bruges. There, the different materials in the diaper are separated and recycled, so that they can get a second life in new products.
In Belgium, diapers are usually incinerated in the regular waste stream, while in other countries they sometimes end up in a landfill. Woosh is committed to collecting used diapers separately and processing them sustainably, so that they do not end up in the regular waste.
Woosh is currently working on a detailed life cycle assessment (LCA) to determine exactly how much CO₂ emissions are saved by the give-back diaper. This report will provide a full picture of the environmental benefits of the Woosh system and the recycling process.
Yes, there are multiple LCA reports that confirm the environmental benefits of recycling diapers. These LCA studies show that there is a significant saving. Woosh is working on an LCA report specific to its own ecosystem and the unique recycling process that the company uses.
Woosh combines the delivery and collection of diapers in one trip to avoid unnecessary kilometers. The packaging and containers are delivered as compact as possible to maximize efficiency.
In addition, Woosh works with a large logistics partner that combines our deliveries and collections with other deliveries. This limits the total distance traveled and further reduces the CO2 impact per delivery.
In this way, Woosh keeps the environmental impact of transport as low as possible and contributes to a sustainable logistics chain.
For Woosh, a fully circular diaper means that all materials used are renewable or recycled and that they can be fully recovered or valorized at the end of their life. Woosh aims for a diaper with a minimal ecological footprint by using materials that can be reintroduced into the system and developing a recycling process that reuses all components.
Woosh is a pioneer of circular innovation in the diaper sector. The company develops products specifically designed to be recycled and works with partners in the diaper and waste industries to drive new ideas and technologies that advance the circular economy.
Now that the give-back diaper has been launched, Woosh is looking ahead to the next milestones: further improving the sustainability of diaper materials, further developing the recycling process, and expanding the system to new markets. Woosh continues to look for ways to increase its impact.
Woosh diapers are dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic and free of perfume and lotion, which minimizes the risk of irritation. They comply with the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which guarantees that they do not contain any harmful substances. In addition, they do not contain any EU-regulated perfume allergens and are safe for sensitive skin.
Woosh diapers contain a super absorbent polymer (SAP), a material that traps moisture and prevents it from escaping. Although SAP can be considered a microplastic, it is safely trapped between the layers of the diaper and poses no risk to the environment.
Like other hygiene products, Woosh diapers contain high-quality plastics to meet strict safety and quality standards. The difference is that Woosh collects and recycles these plastics, giving them a second life instead of becoming waste. Woosh is one of the first to use recycled plastics for the waterproof inner layer of the diaper.
Woosh customers are very satisfied with the price-quality ratio of the give-back system, which benefits them both in terms of sustainability and financially.
Delivery/collection
Follow these simple steps:
- Put your used diapers in the transparent waste bag we provide for free.
- Close the bag with the zip tie, or tie it securely.
- Place the bag in one closed cardboard box.
Properly packed = smoothly collected and correctly processed. ❤️

We only accept Woosh diapers to ensure the quality of our recycling process. Occasionally, a diaper from another brand may be included.
We believe parents already have enough on their minds, so it’s no problem if a Woosh diaper occasionally ends up in a regular trash bin along the way.
