Eco and recycling

What is a give-back diaper?

What makes a diaper ecological?

An eco-friendly diaper is designed and produced with sustainability in every step of its life cycle: from the choice of materials and the production process to the way the diaper is transported, used and ultimately processed after use. This means that the environmental impact is taken into account at every stage.

What makes the Woosh diaper eco-friendly?

The Woosh diaper is designed to be as sustainable as possible. The cellulose in the diapers comes from FSC®-certified forests, and ECF-certified cellulose (Elemental Chlorine Free) is used, which is more environmentally friendly than common alternatives. The waterproof layer in the diaper is also made from 100% recycled materials, which reduces CO₂ emissions. The diapers are made with green energy and do not contain perfume or lotion. In addition, the diapers are packaged in recycled and recyclable materials. Each new generation of Woosh diapers contains more and more circular materials.

What is the difference with traditional disposable diapers?

Unlike disposable diapers, which are incinerated with residual waste after use, the Woosh give-back diaper is recycled. This allows the materials to be reused instead of ending up as waste.

What makes Woosh's give-back diaper different from reusable or biodegradable diapers?

Instead of reusing or composting the diapers, like some other sustainable alternatives, Woosh diapers are recycled. This means that high-quality materials from the diapers are reused to create new products, making it a unique solution within the diaper industry.

How does Woosh's recycling process work?

For the organic materials, Woosh is continuously researching how they can be processed optimally; currently, they are incinerated with energy recovery.

What happens to the Woosh diaper after use?

In addition, they do not contain any EU-regulated perfume allergens and are safe for sensitive skin.

Do you use single-use plastics?

Like other hygiene products, Woosh diapers contain high-quality plastics to meet strict safety and quality standards. The difference is that Woosh collects and recycles these plastics, giving them a second life instead of becoming waste. Woosh is one of the first to use recycled plastics for the waterproof inner layer of the diaper.
