At Woosh, everything revolves around innovation, sustainability, and teamwork. And behind the scenes, it’s Kris — working at IVBO — who keeps our recycling processes running like a well-oiled machine. With his technical know-how, hands-on approach, and infectious enthusiasm, he’s an essential link in the Woosh story. Time to get to know him a little better!
Question: Kris, can you tell us a bit about your background?
Kris: Sure! I come from a technical background. I’ve spent years working with machines and doing technical maintenance. That’s really always been my passion — understanding how things work and getting them running again when something breaks.
Question: What attracted you most to the job at Woosh?
Kris: The challenge! Woosh is something completely new and innovative. The idea of helping build a circular system for something as everyday as diapers — I found that fascinating. Plus, there’s a lot of autonomy in the job, which really suits me. You get the space to come up with your own solutions and improve things.
Question: How would you describe yourself?
Kris: I’m quite social; I get along well with people. And I’m also really into sports — I do power training four times a week at the gym. It helps me stay sharp, both physically and mentally.
Question: What do you enjoy most about your work at Woosh?
Kris: Definitely the moment when you find and fix a fault. That’s really satisfying. When everything runs smoothly again, you feel that you’ve made a difference.
Question: Before joining Woosh, had you ever thought about the diaper problem?
Kris: (laughs) Honestly, no! You don’t really think about it — until you start at Woosh. Then you realize how big that waste stream actually is and how much of an impact recycling can make.
Question: What does it mean to you to be part of Woosh?
Kris: I love that we’re doing something that’s not only technically interesting but also socially meaningful. Recycling is the future — I truly believe that. And I’m proud to contribute in my own way.
Kris is living proof that technology and sustainability can go hand in hand. Thanks to people like him, our recycling doesn’t just keep running — it helps us move one step closer to a truly circular future every day.
