We are proud to celebrate our 4th anniversary at Woosh! What started as an ambitious vision of 3 young dads who wanted to tackle the problem of the diaper waste mountain, has grown in recent years into an organization that strives for innovation and sustainability in the diaper sector.
- We would like to thank the more than 1,100 daycare centers that are already affiliated with Woosh for their trust.
- Thanks to them, more than 22,000 children use our Woosh diapers every day.
- This means that we save 15 million diapers per year from the diaper waste mountain.
- These diapers are efficiently distributed via our 6 logistics hubs in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia.
These numbers are not only a reflection of our growth, but also of the positive impact we are achieving together. Woosh remains committed to sustainable and circular solutions that really make a difference.
From a small local player in 2021 to a national movement in 2024
In less than four years, Woosh has evolved from a local initiative with 20 locations in Ghent, Bruges and Mechelen to a national movement serving thousands of children every day.
Logistical optimization
Our expansion also brings logistical challenges. In order to work even more efficiently and sustainably, we have opened a new hub in Merelbeke . This sixth location strengthens our logistical chain, allowing us to supply an additional 275 daycare centres in East and West Flanders even faster and in an environmentally friendly way. Thanks to shorter routes and bundled deliveries in collaboration with our partner BDSL, we significantly reduce CO2 emissions.
The Future of Woosh: Sustainable Diapers as the Standard
While we are proud of what we have achieved, we are especially looking forward. Our ambition to make sustainable, recyclable diapers the norm in every childcare and household is paramount. Through innovative solutions and strong partnerships, we continue to build a circular economy in which diaper waste is a thing of the past.
